(They do this every year starting in November)
Live in Central Florida and looking for some good holiday entertainment? I highly recommend the Gaylord Palms Hotel. I took my parents their last night so we could all catch their annual Christmas shows. I expected it to be nice but I had no idea how good it would actually be and plan on returning for an encore. If you're on a budget, no worries, beyond a parking fee ($11.00) it's free! A small price to pay for what you recieve in return.
Free doesn't mean you have to skimp out on quality performance and showmanship and the Gaylord Palms is proof. The performers were wonderful. I really enjoy when singers go beyond good, technically trained singing and really belt it out. They did not disappoint in both departments.
The lovely acrobatics accompanying their "Luminescence" show was an additional delight. Also adding to the festive atmosphere was the beautifully displayed Christmas decor. It was definitely worth the 40 minutes drive and few minutes wait at the parking gate (directions).

If you've never been to the Gaylord Palms Hotel, it's really huge, beautiful, and conveniently located just off
of Interstate 4. A large portion of the hotel is set to different Florida city themes (KeyWest,
St. Augustine,
etc). Much of the hotel is created to appear as if you're outdoors with tropical landscaping and impressive manmade
waterfalls. It's even home to some wildlife and there are plenty of restaurtants to choose from. Don't fret if funds are low, they have a cafe / deli that has very reasonable prices. Shops are also plentiful throughout.
Two thumbs up for the Gaylord Palms! If you live in the area and have never been there, consider checking it out. It's a nice place to bring the family and enjoy yourself.
Sidenote: There is more to see and do, some for a fee.
