Ambassadors for Jesus
Committed to Learning and Growing in Him

At first I only saw the one. Then, I notice its companion. Two little birds in my screened in patio. Somehow they had found their way in and seemed to have forgotten the way out.
I thought they were adorable and wouldn’t have minded if they decided to stay. The thought of keeping them even flashed in my mind, but in my heart I knew they were created to be free and I couldn’t take that liberty from them. If they stayed it would have to be their choice.
Trying to help them along I opened the door hoping they would see the way out. I also including some seeds and water just in case they were hungry and thirsty. Then upon another look it appeared only one bird was left.
Although I was there to help this little fellow, he appeared frightened and did everything he could to steer clear of me. I tried going in again, but he avoided me like the plague. I must have looked humongous to him, after all he wasn’t even the size of my hand. If I wanted, I could crush him with a stomp of the fist. But if he only knew, I had no intention to hurt him. I wanted to help him. To help steer him in the right direction so he could find the liberty he worked so hard at attaining, and soar once again. Backing up I gave him his space so that he could find his own way out.
I wonder how often we see God this way? He’s so grand we can be so awestruck with his size and magnificence. If his children don't know Him, they may think He is foe instead of friend.
How it must grieve him that we don’t see his longing to be close to us and helps us so. Yet patiently He waits for us
to come out of our hiding place and trust him with our lives. Daddy intends no harm for us for it was He that paid the price to set us free then captivate us by his Love. And as we grow in love and trust in Him, we will soar like never before.
Our Heavenly Father sets a good example on how our human relationships should be. Love allows others the liberty of choosing to go knowing that eventually his Love will bring them home.
