Ambassadors for Jesus
Committed to Learning and Growing in Him

September 13, 2010

I am currently reading "Stalking the Divine" by Kristin Ohlson. It's a wonderful book recounting her renewed desire for the faith she grew up with, and her struggles to believe again. I really like it.
I wanted to share this portion of an interview she had with one of the nuns:
Sister Regina ~ I'm so happy, but I would be even more happy if you could taste Jesus," she said, then sat back and shook her head. "I jabber alot. I never get tired when I speak of God. When I was a little sister, I tried so hard to be good. But God doesn't need my goodness, he wanted my love. It's just like in your house. If you work and clean and make it beautiful, what is the use if you don't spend time with your husband?"
Kristin Ohlson ~She stopped for a minute, as if waiting for me to say something. But I had run out of things to say. I felt as if I were sitting in the sun.
