First the Magic lose game 4 then another car gets broken into last night at work.  Well I saw a car that circled the building on our cameras (though the picture was dark seeing it was nighttime) and never saw it head out so I went out, at 3:30am mind you, to see what was going on.  There it was parked to the side then beeped its horn when it saw me.  I figured that was a signal to the culprit that someone was there.  So, me putting my college education to good use and adding 2 and 2 together, started looking for someone breaking into a car.

Found the perp, he had half his body through the broken window of a truck in our lot.  Then he jumped out and ran real fast to the get away car.  I yelled at him, figured this was good
use for my good lungs.  They took off real fast in the getaway car towards the
back of the building.  I ran into the building, as fast as I could in my cute, heeled boots and called 911.  Guess I was talking real fast and all out of breathe (I do need to start riding that bike again) because the 911 operator was like telling me to take it easy or whatever, whatever, so I did seeing it may help if they understood what I was saying.  So I gave them the tag number and when I was done with them I found out who the truck belonged to and gave him a call.  He didn't seem happy, big surprise.  I felt bad and was apologetic.  Guess I could have jumped the perp but I am not as young and nutty as I used to be.  Even back then I had some common sense, though the cops didn't seem to think so as they would give me the lecture from time to time (in my past career).  That's actually when I decided to get a nice car that I could really enjoy and liked as I thought, 'you know what I do is dangerous and even though I pray and trust God to keep me safe you never know when your time is up so figured I would at least get a car I could enjoy while still living.

But anyway, back to my story, then Barney Fife showed up (trying to be funny) and I gave him all the details but he didn't seem that interested like I may have disturbed his Dunkin Donut break.  I was growing exasperated with him but I think I did pretty good with not being too, too obvious about it.  Like he didn't even ask me for a tag number or anything so seeing I'm a communicative gal I volunteered the information in case he forgot to ask.  He ran it and it came back to some lady that didn't appear to look like she fit the bill and he was acting like I must be wrong which exasperated me again.  I told him it could have been her son and his buddies.
I mean for real, do I have to do all the thinking?

I tried to tell him about my previous career that I was in for many years and as such I paid attention to these types of details and I knew I could identify the car again, and the kid, even if just from the back.  His hair and the style stood out and he was real thin.  But Barney didn't seem impressed with my resume.  Rats!

So here we were, me and the cop and the owner of the truck and the owner of the truck had a bunch of expensive stuff in there but looks like I got there in time where they may not have gotten anything.  So now he seems happy and is even looking at me like some type of hero.  I kept apologizing but he seemed happy with how it turned out because as I said he had a bunch of expensive stuff in there.  Said he even had a gun in there.  Thank God the kid didn't grab that and shoot me.

Called mom before I went to work to see how she and pa were doing and she usually prays for me that the Lord's guardian angels are with me in my car and at my job and in my home.  I love my mom so.  She is my best friend (after our sweet Lord).  Yet sometimes I will admit that when she goes into that long prayer I am like ready to go (as she prays it when I am leaving her home or our conversation on phone is ending) and tonight it seemed extra long but I was real good with it and not in a hurry.  I really did need it tonight too.  Thank you mom.  I am going to be real appreciative and patient because I need to be and I need them prayers.

Anyway, I told the assistant manager about it and he wasn't happy because stuff keeps happening at work that is not good
for business, beyond these breakins but he said I did good.  I suggested they call the police to follow up so that may motivate them to at least give the owner of the vehicle a visit.  That may at least deter future incidents.

Me and him have been getting along alot better.  And with all the drama lately it seems to be bonding us, you know how that goes, you forget about your petty complaints during situations like this.

That be it.  Feel free to keep me in your prayers if you feel so led.

Go Magic!!!!!  I still believe they can pull it off.
